Dell have leaked they are about to launch 3 machines pre-loaded with Linux tomorrow! The 3 machines, 1 of which is thought to be a laptop, will come with a copy of Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn.)
The news has been known for a while, with links on the Dell website to the upcoming releases. I guess the cynic in me is asking “was it a planned leak to drum up interest in the release?” Don’t get me wrong, I think it is a great idea and long overdue. Hopefully lots of other OEM Manufacturers will also see the light and start to supply systems their customers crave for. [SHOW ME]
