It appears the internet has officially had a face-lift - and like it’s predecessor, is starting off life in the academic and research fields first.
A link has been established from the East Coast to the West Coast of the US with a 100Gbps backbone, built with fibre-optics with Juniper routers providing the connectivity. Initially only open to a select few, commercial use shouldn’t take too long to arrive with plans to roll out to Los Angeles and a few other places in that area initially. [SHOW ME]
