Yep EA again. I know this is only my second post and again its about those EA boys but this time on to DICE. Me being a fan of the Battlefield series thought I should blog quick about a free (yes I said FREE!) battlefield game called Battlefield Heroes.
This is a cartoon based shooter (um.. Team fortress 2 maybe?) aimed at being fun for all with a match maker system that only lets you play against people of your skill level (so all the bunny hoppers on one server then!) Plus it has a class and upgrade system, lets just hope it has more support that Battlefield 2 did. Here’s a link to PCzone for the first in game vid. Enjoy! [SHOW ME]

I hear the game is very beginner-friendly, with only 3 classes, 3rd person view and limited to 16 players per map; not that this is necessarily a bad thing, just different.
Battlefield Heroes is supposedly aiming for a “cartoony fun” style of play, with hit points rising from players when they get shot, a short 5 second respawn to get you back in the action, fun physics and tanks like racing cars!
This is all well and good and liable to draw in players new to the series but the bugs, glitches and frequent lag that plagued Battlefield 2 is likely to turn them away again just as quickly. Watch this space I guess…
