Well out of the blue Infogrames are now on the acquire market moving in to take over Atari. Atari has seen some bad times with CEO David Pierce leaving the company last November, and also stopping its production of games to refocus on publishing and distribution in North America. Infogrames are already the majority share holder and the move would see them acquiring the remaining equity.
Infogrames not long ago appointed former EA Worldwide Studios David Gardner as CEO, which helps you understand why infogrames have made the proposal. In truth Atari can do with the help so all-in-all its not a bad move. [SHOW ME]
